Rachel Piña, YWLA '17

My major is Medical Humanities with a pre-med concentration. I have been a full time student at UTSA all throughout undergrad. I finished all my requirements Fall 2021 and applied to graduate May 2022 with my sister who is receiving her Masters degree. I was previously an Optician at the Walmart Vision Center for a year and have now been working as an Optometric Technician for about 2 years. Last year I studied for the Optometry Admissions Test applied for Optometry school and was accepted into my top choice at the Doctor of Optometry program in Midwestern University-Arizona. Right now I am taking one class for my optometry requirements and I am working more hours as a technician at Northwest Family Eye Care. I am starting my doctorates program August 2022 and I’m moving into my dorms in July.
